PROFESSIONAL PLAYER BIO



Deon Ejim is a Canadian forward known for his physical style of play, versatility, and strong presence on both ends of the floor. Standing 6-foot-6, the Toronto native combines size and strength with a high motor, making him an effective contributor in the frontcourt.


Ejim began his collegiate career at the University of Illinois Chicago, where he appeared in 41 games across two seasons. During his time with the Flames, he averaged 2.5 points and 2.6 rebounds per game, showing flashes of his rebounding ability and defensive impact in limited minutes.


Following his NCAA experience, Ejim continued his development at the university level in Canada before transitioning to the professional ranks. He was selected in the 2023 Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) Draft by the Calgary Surge, where he began his professional career and gained valuable experience in a competitive environment.


Ejim has since continued to build his professional résumé across multiple leagues, including time in the CEBL with the Saskatchewan Rattlers and overseas in Finland’s Korisliiga with Kobrat. His ability to rebound, defend multiple positions, and bring physicality to the game has made him a reliable role player wherever he competes.
