We’ve made the difficult decision to pause and reimagine this year’s SlamFest. While the event won’t take place as planned, we’re already exploring new ways to bring fans and players together for an unforgettable experience. 

SLAM FEST

SLAM FEST is the official pre-season kickoff for the Calgary Surge — a high-energy celebration of basketball, community, and entertainment. Hosted in partnership with the University of Calgary and UCalgary DINOS, SLAM FEST offers fans a unique chance to connect with players, enjoy exciting competitions, and experience the energy of Surge basketball before the season tips off.

This is where Calgary comes to play — and everyone’s invited!

Select fans and attendees will be selected to participate in skills-based games for Surge prizes. Expect interactive fun on and off the court, like half-court shots and skill challenges, crowd giveaways, and entertainment from the Surge Hype Crew and local performers.

Get your first look at the 2025 Surge roster during a high-energy on-court showcase featuring opportunities to meet Surge players after the main program.

Calgary Surge Season Ticket Members are eligible to receive complimentary tickets to SLAM FEST 2025 — the official kickoff to the 2025 Surge season!


Important:


Season Ticket Members will receive the same number of complimentary tickets as you hold in 2025 Season Tickets (e.g., 2 Season Tickets = 2 Slam Fest tickets).

To receive your tickets, you must complete the form below. No walk-up redemptions will be permitted.

  • How many complimentary tickets do I receive?

    You will receive the same number of complimentary SLAM FEST tickets as 2025 season tickets held under your account.


  • Can I claim more than the number of season tickets I have?

    No. Complimentary tickets are limited to the number of 2025 Season Tickets associated with your account.

  • Do I need to complete the form to attend?

    Yes. All season ticket members must complete the form to receive their SLAM FEST tickets. No exceptions.

  • When will I receive my tickets?

    After completing the form and verifying your account, we’ll send your tickets via email 72 hours after form submission.

  • Can I buy additional tickets for friends?

    Absolutely! Additional tickets can be purchased at regular rates:

    • Adults – $20
    • Students (14+ & Post Secondary) – $15
    • UCalgary Students & Alumni – $15
    • Child (3-13) - $15

    SLAM FEST is being held at the Jack Simpson Gym at the University of Calgary, which uses ShowPass as its exclusive ticketing provider. As such, all ticketing for this event — including complimentary access for Season Ticket Members — will be managed through ShowPass in accordance with venue policies.
